Von Hoffman House
Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation has restored the Von Hoffman House to the use for which it was built in 1884. The house was built by Peter Book, who owned and operated a Medora brick factory in the mid 1880s. Nobody will live in the Von Hoffman house and it will be a museum featuring items from the family. The Von Hoffman house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
This recently restored home includes a collection of original furniture and period furnishings. Come learn about two of Medora’s well-known families and enjoy the upstairs gallery display of the Ferris family’s correspondence with their friend, Theodore Roosevelt!
