Harold Schafer Heritage Center
Harold Schafer was largely responsible for the reviving of Medora. In 1962, he purchased both the Ferris Store and the Rough Riders Hotel.
Visit the Heritage Center to learn more about the founder of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and his commitment to Medora as displaced in museum exhibits. Some exhibits include the original Mr. Bubble Car, Schafer’s hand-carved medieval desk and his rare 1929 Roosevelt sedan.
Open June 3rd through September 10th.
10:00am – 5:00pm
Admission is free!
